Open Day

Keeping healthy and active

Thank you to all who joined us at our West Mid Open Day on 5 September. Celebrating keeping healthy and active, we ran a programme of exciting events for all ages, including:

  • Sport and exercise sessions run by the Harlequins Rugby Team, Sky Fitness and local Police
  • Demonstrations of cooking and healthy eating
  • Health and wellbeing sessions
  • Free health checks
  • Live entertainment
  • Behind-the-scenes tours
  • Career and work experience advice
  • Children’s entertainment and face-painting
  • Obstacle course

This year, we also unveiled a special exhibition in memory of the 390 men from Isleworth who served in World War One. Volunteers from the Isleworth 390 Project researched the lives of each of the serviceman whose names can be found inscribed on the war memorial outside Our Lady of Sorrows and St Bridget of Sweden Church in Isleworth, Middlesex.

We hope to see you there!
